Home School Program: All the perks of Board and Train or Day Training programs, but in the comfort of your home! Melanie will come to your home Monday through Friday to work with your dog on basic obedience as well as behavior modification (jumping, barking chewing, nipping). This program is catered to your personal goals and each dog’s individual personality. There is no need for you to be to be home for the daily lessons, as Melanie will be focusing on your dog the first 4 days each week, and every dog will get outside time in their yard and/or neighborhood. At the end of each week, you will meet with Melanie to go over the training so that she can teach you how to work with your dog. You will also be given “homework” to work on over the weekend to ensure your dog learns to work with you and that you understand the training. Going to be out of town? No problem, Melanie is teaming up with local trusted dog walkers and pet sitters who can take care of your dog during the evening and weekends. She will happily provide a list for you to choose from. In just a few short weeks, you and your dog will have a better relationship!
Off Leash Program: This program can be done in conjunction with our Home School Program and is a must for anyone who wants to enjoy an off-leash lifestyle with his or her dog. Whether it is hiking, running on the beach, or just hanging out with the family in the yard, a dog who can safely be off-leash is a joy to be with. Kindred K9 Solutions Off Leash Program can give you and your dog that freedom!
Private In-Home Lessons: Our private in-home lessons can be done in your home, yard and/or neighborhood, and take place with you. These lessons are ideal for follow-up training from our Home School Program as well as fine tuning or focusing on smaller challenges that do not require the full Home School Program.
Private Lessons off-site: Need help with your dog in a park, at the vet, or somewhere else away from home? Our off-site private lessons will help with that. Melanie will meet you at the location and spend time with you and your dog working on overcoming any obstacles the two of you may have.
Pack Walks: Pack walks are exclusive to Kindred K9 Graduates! Pack walks are great for controlled socialization, meeting other dog-friendly people, and helping more introverted dogs start to feel comfortable around other dogs. We will meet in Richmond Area parks once or twice a month. Once your dog has completed one of our programs, we will let you know if Pack Walks are right for your dog.
Field Trips: Vineyards, Breweries, Restaurants, SUP with Your Pup, and more are on this list! Kindred K9 Field Trips will be for human and dog social graduates. We are all about encouraging you to get out in the community with your dog! After graduation, Melanie will let you know if your dog would enjoy going on our field trips. Since some dogs aren’t keen on group activities in public, Melanie will have solutions for you to get out and about with your dog that the whole family will enjoy!
